Asana practice helps many of us handle day-to-day challenges, but sometimes the practice itself is the challenge.
Maybe something has changed in your body, or you have an injury, or you are stressed out, but you still want to practice. Maybe you’ve always wanted to experiment with the poses, but didn’t have the time or the props or the space to try anything new. Let’s try some asana variations!
In this workshop you will:
– Discover ways to change poses to accommodate your energy level, an injury, or changes in your body.
– Explore different pose modification techniques in a friendly and supportive environment.
– Empower yourself with the knowledge to customize asana practice while still participating in the spirit of community.
We’ll have a quick warm up, then spend the rest of our time moving through sun salutations and some other common asana, trying out multiple variations along the way. You’ll also receive a reference handout with tips on how to keep exploring and practicing variations on new poses.
