Spring Module of the Wisdom Practices

Pre-registration required.

Your choice of zoom or in person.Spring season is an expression of life at its strongest. Just as nature enters a cycle of renewal, growth and expansion, so does the energy within us. This is the season to till the soil: in our own bodies we do this by cleansing, creating a healthy environment so we can plant seeds for a future harvest. In this way, we look ahead and make plans, formulate new ideas, make decisions and determine our direction for the year, and most importantly to take action.Spring in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) corresponds to the Wood element- which represents the liver and the gallbladder. The function of wood is movement, expansion, activity and change. Wood is the home of new ideas, new thoughts, transformation and hope. Wood gives us the connection to the future and allows us to plan and design in all areas of our lives. It allows us to express our true nature and manifest ourselves in the world.

In this 20 hour Training-
We will dive into the foundations of Yin + Restorative Yoga- the differences and similarities
with specific sequences for the Spring season and focus on how we transition out of the old and into the new.
Additional skill and inquiry : Ayurveda ( ancient healing system of India), with an optional 3 day Kitchari nourishing cleanse and understanding the importance of digestive fire ( Agni) and how to eliminate toxins (ama).

In this Spring Module of the Wisdom Practices we will focus on the following topics.

Season: Spring Season
Theme: Making Space/The Reawakening – Coming out of Hibernation

Philosophy: Panchamaya Kosha: Embracing a System of Wholeness
Doshas Kapha, Pitta, Vata
Gunas Rajas, Tamas, Sattva

Anatomy: Digestion, Inflammation + Agni(digestive fire) + Ama(toxins)

Skill/Inquiry: Practical Ayurveda – Practice of Dihnacharya
Optional Weekend Nourishing Cleanse ( 3 day cleanse)

Finding balance with these practices to me was the missing piece in my yoga journey (physical and mental). Iā€™m so grateful to have been a part of these wisdom practice trainings. Thank you Iva and Shanti!ā€
