Seasonal YIN + Nutrition Series for Winter
Staying grounded through the holiday season is refreshing. Join us in a consistent meditative YIN practice designed to calm the mind + body. By addressing specific shapes and parts of the body we will aim to balance the organs and meridians associated with WINTER. The practice will include yin positions (3-5 mins of deep stretch or compression along meridians) + warm herbal tea. The last 15 minutes of class we will speak about the body system and the single herb used in the tea and why it is beneficial this time of year. Each class there will be a different herb and we will cover different nutritional theme + the yin sequence will change. Making all 4 classes is ideal to benefit from making this a seasonal practice and integrating this into your yoga off the mat. Be prepared to learn a lot about yourself, tune in and listen to your needs. This series may likely decrease stress, boost the immune system, and balance overall health.
Brandi Jo Perkins is a Yoga Instructor and Clinical Herbalist. She teaches yin regularly and offers holistic herbal consultations.
