Somatic movement for your nervous system

Our bodies contain a multitude of information that is readily accessible to support our awareness, healing and growth. In this guided somatic movement workshop, we’ll slow down to give your body a chance to speak its intricacies to you. We’ll learn techniques to regulate your nervous system, explore your mind-body connection more deeply, and release energy stored in the body.

This is for people who want to learn specific movements to regulate different states or activations of your nervous system. We’ll explore movements for when you’re experiencing fight, flight or freeze, when you’re feeling anxious, feeling low, and more. Then, we’ll move through a guided movement exploration to explore your mind body connection more deeply, finishing with a written reflection.

No experience required – all bodies and movers are welcome. Wear something cozy and comfortable that you can move freely in, and bring a journal with a pen or pencil to write with for reflection.

Kari Burke is an Oxford trained cognitive behavioral coach and professional dancer helping people design a life that is more embodied, intuitive and present. To learn more about working with Kari, check out www.kari-burke.com.
