In this 20 hour immersion, we’ll look at the movement from a functional perspective. What movements are humans designed to do? How do those movements affect our overall health and well-being? How do we get better at the movements that improve our overall health and well-being? This workshop will merge therapeutic yoga with classical asana and dynamic movement to help you experience your body as a whole vibrant organism.
This virtual workshop will be hosted through Zoom and will count towards CEUs for yoga teachers as well as toward our Practice Yoga 300-hour program.
We’ll discuss:
Functional versus Specialized Movement
Biomechanics versus Biotensegrity
Ancestral Movement
Developmental Kinesiology
The 7 Basic Movement Patterns
The Effect of Movement on Health
Skeletal and Fascial Functional Anatomy
