Foundations of Yin with Jenn Wooten and Laura Forsyth

In this mindful and deliberate practice, we work with the “cooler” yin tissues of the body, most specifically the connective tissues of the joints & ligaments, the bones, and the fascial network of the body.

The poses are held seated or lying down for several minutes at a time with minimal to no muscular engagement. Each pose is followed by a minute of integrative rest. By creating deliberate stresses on the yin tissues they becoming stronger and more supple. This approach, practiced intelligently, has the potential to slowly unravel long held patterns in the tissues, heal from old injuries and restore optimal health and balance movement in the joints.
