I am so thrilled to announce that Candlelight Contact is coming back! I originally started this dance in 2012 after being inspired by a beautiful little dance in Hana, HI where the had lot’s of candles around…..
This will be a monthly special event, and the first one is May 11th! Dance is 9PM-10:30 PM. Doors will close at 9:15. 18+
9:00 – Entry, greetings, warm up
9:15 – Doors close (no late admission allowed), Opening Circle
9:30 – Candlelight Contact
10:30 – Closing circle
$10 donation

Candlelight.
No electrical light source. Eyes adjust. Movement slows. Senses open.
Contact Improv.
Barefoot. Unspoken. Respecting your own and others Boundaries.
Music as Facilitator.
Music integral to the experience. It is one of the dancers that will meet you.

Candlelight Contact is a dance space that bridges the world of Ecstatic Dance and Contact Improv. Contact is welcome and encouraged in the dance, and with the low light and deep music, we really get the chance to go deep in to the experience.
I’m excited to get to do this practice with you all again, and I’m thankful for the beautiful space at Practice where we’ll be holding this dance.
