National Instructor Christina Sell

Christina Sell

Christina Sell has been practicing asana since 1991 and teaching since 1998. Known for her passion, clarity and creativity, Christina’s teaching style is a dynamic and challenging blend of inspiration, humor and hard work. Masterful at synthesis, Christina’s ability to harvest and transmit the unique contributions of various yoga methods is unparalleled. Christina believes that yoga practice can help anyone access their inner wisdom, authentic spirituality and clarify their highest personal expression.

Christina is the author of Yoga From the Inside Out: Making Peace with Your Body Through Yoga and My Body is a Temple: Yoga as a Path to Wholeness. Christina has as BA in Counseling and Education and an MA in Integrative Education and Curriculum Design. Christina is the founder and director of Christina Sell Yoga Programs and Trainings. Christina draws inspiration from many master teachers in Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Anusara Yoga and Bikram Yoga. Christina Sell maintains an active teaching schedule presenting seminars locally, nationally and internationally. She is a devoted student of Western Baul master, Lee Lozowick, and credits his Influence as the spiritual inspiration behind her life and work.

Christina resides in Buena Vista, CO with her husband, her dog, and two very affectionate kitty cats. She enjoys practicing yoga, writing, reading, cooking, hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding.

National Instructor Annie Carpenter

Annie Carpenter

The creator of SmartFLOW Yoga, Annie Carpenter is an international Yoga teacher based in Northern California. Known as a “teacher’s teacher” she has created a well-respected system of Yoga practice and Teaching methodology. Annie’s playful personality and focused intelligence bring depth, clarity and exuberance to her classes. A committed student, Annie continues to bring her passion and curiosity, love of anatomy, evolutionary movement, meditation and classical philosophy into her teachings.

Annie is the author of SmartFLOW Yoga, a complete set of practice DVDs produced by Udaya, and Yoga for Total Back Care, a DVD produced by Yoga Journal, and several SmartFLOW manuals. She contributes regularly to Yoga Journal. An influential Teacher Trainer since 2003, Annie leads 200/500 trainings and workshops globally.

National Instructor Jason Crandell

Jason Crandell is a natural teacher and author with more than 15 years of experience. His accessible, grounded classes integrate the best elements of power yoga, anatomical precision and mindfulness teachings. With a “knack for teaching subtle body movements in a way that everyone can understand” (Yoga Journal), Jason’s articulate, down-to-earth teaching will educate and empower you.

Named “one of the teachers shaping the future of yoga” by Yoga Journal, Jason has been one of the most in-demand teachers at conferences around the world for over a decade. Considered a “teachers-teacher”, Jason has taught on countless teacher-training faculties, leads trainings globally, and regularly presents teacher-training content at esteemed conferences.

Jason is a contributing editor for Yoga Journal Magazine where he has published over 25 articles. His critical-thinking skills will support you on your path of practice, teaching and self-inquiry.

Jason’s primary teacher is Rodney Yee, who was kind enough to say, “Jason is taking the art of teaching yoga to its next level.”

National Instructor Darren Rhodes

Darren Rhodes

Darren Rhodes has been the director of YogaOasis in Tucson, Arizona since 1999. He is the founder of YogaHour, an accessible, inexpensive, expertly-taught flow yoga class that offers clear and specific alignment instructions for each pose. He is the author and model of the Yoga Resource Practice Manual eBook featuring photographs of Darren in 400 yoga poses with instructions. Yoga Journal named him one of the “21 Talented Young Teachers Shaping the Future of Yoga.”

Darren, while known for his ability to perform all yoga postures, is dedicated to making yoga accessible. Darren’s classes are innovative and authentic, focusing on making the doable difficult and the difficult doable.
