FLOAT is a workshop dedicated to the art and science of jumping through from downward dog to sitting, and floating back from seated positions back to chatauranga dandasana. We’ll focus on two of the main bandhas, energy locks in the body that help move energy upward and encourage lightness in practice. We’ll also investigate techniques that will generate core strength and the control necessary for these maneuvers. Participants should be prepared for a rigorous practice, and probably should also have an active crow pose (bakasana).
