Handstand is a courageous, invigorating, and empowering posture; in this workshop, you will learn skill alignment and action to get you to the exciting moment where it all comes together. Deepen your practice through effective skill-use and progressive methods to intelligently move your practice away from the wall and into the middle of the room. Come approach your goals and gain experiential knowledge that you can utilize in your personal practice.
Vera Colomba is a dedicated student and yoga teacher inspired by the healing and transformative power of the practice. From 2012-2015, she studied under the direction of her teacher and yoga therapeutics visionary, Annie Adamson (Yoga International, Grokker, Primal Vinyasa™). This extensive apprenticeship led to a deep passion for movement as a form of medicine; Vera’s teaching is inspired by an educational understanding of the physical body; her guiding intention is to help her students’ develop a deeper connection to their physicality, personal health, and wellbeing. Her personal mission is to integrate yoga therapies into modern medicine and empower people to reclaim their bodies through mindfulness and movement. Vera has been based out of Portland, OR for the last seven years and is thrilled to be moving back home to Austin, TX.
